| Description: | From Verde Valley Fair Website: The Verde Valley Fair is held in May and entries from youth can be displayed in the following categories: arts and crafts, rabbits, poultry, photography, foods, sheep, horticulture, clothing, swine, dogs, beef, dairy cattle, cavy, horses, collectibles, hobbies, ceramics, agriculture, floriculture, pets, and goats. Because the Yavapai County Fair is held in Prescott and we are more than fifty miles from the County Fair, the Verde Valley Fair provides a place for residents to participate in the many fair activities, as most of our community would not participate in the County Fair due to the distance.
The Verde Valley Fair is a culmination of the year's projects for youth participating in 4-H Clubs, Organized Youth Groups and high school students participating in FFA. Our fair is not limited to just 4-H,FFA and Organized Youth. We continue to draw a large number of area residents who also like to display their talents and compete for prizes.
Youth are able to entertain the public and display their talents as singers, dancers, gymnasts, and as band members.
Our facilities are available to any group at a reasonable cost. By continuing to offer our facilities to those who need them we feel that we provide a service that will be greater as more and more people move to our area.
