Sun City West plans Fall Arts and Crafts Fair for November

Beautiful silver and gold jewelry, hand-painted porcelain vases, stunning photographs and hand-printed calligraphy are just a few of the types of treasures and bargains to be found at Sun City Wests Fall Arts and Crafts Fair, to be held on Saturday, Nov. 8.

From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., a wide assortment of decorative and functional items created by local artisans will be available for purchase on the R.H. Johnson Recreation Center campus, 19803 R. H. Johnson Blvd., in Sun City West. Hundreds of vendors will cover the Arts and Crafts Courtyard and fill the R.H. Johnson Social Hall, offering hand-beaded items, embroidery, stained glass, clothing, artwork and so much more.

Representatives from more than 20 clubs including weavers, beaders, potters, needle workers, silversmiths and floral artists will be on hand to sell their wares. Items typically not available at the Village Store but on hand at the fair are larger pieces produced by the Metal Club and Clay Club.

The event is free to the public, and accepted forms of payment include Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and checks.

Shoppers can plan to make a full day of the event as they visit artisans in the Arts and Crafts Courtyard and the Social Hall. Coffee and donuts will be available for purchase in the morning, and burgers, brats and hotdogs will be sold later in the day.

The Fair is a marvelous opportunity to find one-of-a kind pieces, or unique gifts, and the parking and admission is free, says Village Store supervisor Katie Van Leuven. The Rec Centers and these artists are so happy to provide the community with such wonderful arts and crafts.
