Living History Days

The Presidio's Living History program brings life inside the walls of the Presidio. Volunteer re-enactors provide a glimpse of what life truly was like back when the Santa Cruz river flowed, a myriad of cultures were impacting each other, and the Old Pueblo was just beginning.

Visitors to the Presidio San Agustn see soldiers at drill, blacksmiths, candle-makers, merchants and weavers. These volunteers interact with the public to demonstrate and teach about the challenges of daily life when there were no cell phones and no running water.

We can't provide these experiences without the dedication of our volunteers. Join us!
