Annual Historic Route 66 Fun Run

More than 800 vehicles are expected to make the 140-mile journey between Seligman and Topock/Golden Shores for a fun-packed weekend of food, entertainment, and the outstanding collection of show-stopping vehicles. Spectators are invited to enjoy all the family friendly activities.

The Annual Historic Route 66 Fun Run is the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona's annual, and only, fundraising event providing needed funds to fulfill it mission to preserve, protect, and promote Arizona's stretch of Route 66. All the people who plan and work the event, including the judges, are volunteers giving their time to make the event and the Association successful, as well as ensure the participants and attendees have a great time.

The first Fun Run made history with 152 entrants (which at the time seemed unbelievable), Rose Mofford, the Governor of Arizona, cut the ribbon, Will Rogers, Jr., was the first Grand Marshal, and the Delgadillo's Band headlined the event. The planning couldn't have been more perfect, except for the April showers, sleet, and SNOW!

More than a quarter of a century later, the Fun Run remains the Association's premiere fundraising event drawing Route 66 enthusiasts from around the world with just about any vehicle on wheels. Rain or shine this annual Fun Run from Seligman to Topock is held the first weekend of each May.
