Description: | From Folk Arts Fair Website: Sharlot Hall Museums Folk Arts Fair will transport visitors to a simpler time when the Village of Traditions returns to the shade-covered Museum campus on Saturday, June 6, 2020 for its 47th straight year. The Museum grounds will be transformed into a traditional 19th century Arizona village featuring themed districts and emphasizing education, demonstrations and hands-on experiences.
Participate in the arts and skills essential to the lives of territorial Arizonans. Engage with Living History demonstrators and see wool spun into yarn and woven into garments. Discover basket weaving, lace-making, blacksmithing demonstrations, juggling, and folk music performances as you discover a simpler time in Arizona. Children can experience crafts of yester-year with hands-on activities corn-husk doll making, gold-panning, tin-punching, cattle brand making, and more plus everyone will savor fresh popcorn and Dutch-oven baked biscuits with freshly churned butter.
Enjoy the crafts, trades and amusements of the past a bygone era re-created! as well as good ol fashioned FUN! Daily admission is only $12 for adults 18 and over, $8 for Museum members, and free for those 17 and under. All fees include full access to museum exhibits. The Fair is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
